EARN AND LEARN SCHEME

INTORDUCTION

 Founder of  Earn And  Learn Scheme

 

The scheme was originally introduced by a well-known social worker Karmavir Bhaurao Patil, the founder of Rayat Shikshan, Sanstha, Satara, Maharashtra. The present schemeis established in the college in the year 1978-79.

       Introduction of the Scheme in the college            

Our institute has established with the vision and mission to provide quality education to the economically weaker and socially disadvantages section of the society. To achieve these objectives, the college has introduced the scheme in 1978.The scheme is jointly conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and our College. The Scheme isbasically undertaken for the benefitof the students who are economically backward intelligent and meritorious but cannot afford higher education. Provides them to financial Assistance.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHEME

  1. To provide financial support to the needy poor student.
  2. To develop work culture among the students.
  3. To develop self-confidence, self-identity and ability for the self-employment

 

PROCEDURE FOR IMPLENTATION OF SCHEME

Advisory Committee :-

                 For the effective execution of the scheme the college has formed Advisory Committee according to the guidelines of the Savitribai Phule Pune University. Committee consist Principal is- President of committee ,One Management Representative2 or 3 member of each faculty including lady teacher and University Representative.

  1. Budgetary  Provision :-

      Current year budget is Rs.19 lackh in the year 2015-16

  1. Selection Criteria :-

Separate admission committee is formed for the admission of the students admission committee organize the personal interview  of the Students for admission the Following Point are taken in to consideration.

  1. Annual Income of Parent.
  2. Academic performance of the Students.
  3. Financial position if the Parents.
  4. Personal Interview of the Students.

NATURE OF WORK

             Students are required to work 02 to 03 hours in a day excluding teaching hours and holidays. Selected students are distributed for work among various Departments in college on the basis of skill and choice given by students and availability of work.

Allotment of Work :-

             Students are required to work in the following Departments within the college.                                          

  1. Library                                                                               
  2. Laboratory
  3. Administrative Office
  4. Gymkhana
  5. Botanical Garden
  6. Telephone Operator
  7. Account Office
  8. Earn And Learn Scheme Office
  9. Property Section  
  10. Exam Department
  11. Various academic Dept of the College.
  1. Rate of Remuneration :-

Students are paid Rs. 30/-Per hour.

  1. Payment Of Remuneration :-

                                       Remuneration is credited in the bank account of each student in the first week of the following month. The students can withdrawn the amount from bank as per their needs.

BOOKS OF ACCOUNT

                The necessary books of account are maintained, as per the guideline of University and  audited by Internal Auditor and also by the University Authority at the end of financial year.

UNIVERSITY GRANT

  At the end of academic year (in March) Accounting records are audited by the University auditor and grants are realized as per University Norms.

FEEDBACK MEETING

  Every year in the month of January to February, a meeting is arranged to take the feedback of the students along with the management of the representative of the institute and the Principal  

SPECIAL EVENTS

           SAHABHOJAN PROGRAMME :- Organize Sahbhojan and get-together of all the earn and learn students, with Principal and all committee members in the year 2015-16

  1. Organize educational trip only for earn and learn scheme students in the year 2015-16 2016-17 at Bhimashankar and Kolhapur
  2. In the year 2015-16 we have collected Poor Boies Fund from all the staff members of the college for helping earn and learn scheme students.
  3. Astangyoga One Day Work Shop :- For the Physical and mental health and increase the Stamina one day Astangyoga Work Shop under the guidance of expert yoga teacher is organised-  year 2016-17
  4. Parents Meeting - To know feeling of the parents meeting is organized.
  5. One Day Cleaning Programme - For cleaning College premises one day cleaning programme one day in each week is organized each students has compulsory to participate two hrs in a week.
