NATIONAL CADET CORPS (N.C.C.)

 

The NCC organization was started  in 1948, by an Act of Parliament, Govt. of India.

The college N.C.C . unit is known by the name Coy-B-1, 17 Maharashtra Battalion. Ahmednagar and started from June 1975.

In college NCC unit  72 boy’s and 65 girl’s cadets are enrolled.

Aims of NCC

  • To develop the qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship.
  • To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life including Defence forces and be always available for the service of nation.
  •   To create suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up the career in the Defence   Services.

  • Obey with smile.
  • Be punctual.
  • Work hard without fuss.
  • Make no excuses and tell no lies.

Incentives to NCC Cadets

  1. Direct Commission for 'C' Certificate holders through Service Selection Board ,
  2. Preference is given in State & Central Govt. Services, Police, BSF, Coast Guard, CRPS, ITBF, CIST etc.
  3. Seats reserved for NCC Cadets for admissions in Engineering, Polytechnique and Medical Colleges
  4. Youth Exchange Programmes: Participation in international Youth Exchange Programme held in various countries (Canada, UK, Singapore, Bangladesh, Srilanka etc.)

Certificate Examinations:

        1. “B” Certificate: To appear cadet must have undergone training of two years in senior division/ wing with minimum 75% attendance. Must have attended one Annual training Camp.

        2. “C” Certificate: To appear cadet must be in pass in “B” Certificate. Must have 75% attendance. Must have attended two Annual training Camps.

Grading in Certificate Examinations:

1.      A grade – 80% and above

2.      B grade – below 80% and above 65 %

3.      C grade – 50 %.
